Cookie Notice
Modacast currently uses only cookies that are strictly necessary to provide sign-in, security, invitation flows and your cookie-notice preference.
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small values stored by your browser and returned to a website on later requests. Similar short-lived storage may be used for a specific sign-in or invitation flow.
2. Essential cookies we use
- Supabase authentication session cookies: keep you securely signed in, refresh your session and protect authenticated requests. Their duration follows the active authentication session and security configuration.
- mc_invite: remembers an individual invitation token while you complete sign-in; maximum age 600 seconds.
- mc_team_invite: remembers a team invitation token while you complete sign-in; maximum age 600 seconds.
- mc_return: remembers the safe in-product destination to return to after authentication; maximum age 600 seconds.
- mc_cookie_ack: records that you dismissed this informational notice so it does not reappear; maximum age six months.
3. No tracking or advertising cookies
We do not currently use analytics, behavioural advertising, cross-site tracking or social-media marketing cookies. We do not create an advertising profile from cookie activity.
4. Why the banner is informational
Under ePrivacy rules, cookies strictly necessary to deliver a service requested by the user do not require optional consent. The banner explains our use and lets you acknowledge the notice; it does not delay or block authentication or other essential cookies. If we add optional cookies later, we will request consent before setting them.
5. Managing cookies
You can inspect, block or delete cookies using your browser settings. Blocking authentication or flow cookies may prevent sign-in, invitations and protected pages from working. Deleting mc_cookie_ack only causes the information banner to appear again.
6. Providers
Supabase supports authentication and session handling. Google and Apple may set or read cookies on their own domains when you choose their OAuth sign-in service; their cookie notices apply to that separate interaction. Vercel delivers the application but Modacast does not use Vercel analytics or advertising trackers.
