Model release
Model release & image rights
How a model’s photographs and likeness may be displayed and shared through Modacast, and the model’s right to revoke — governing the model → agency → client chain.
1. Licence
The Model grants the Agency a non-exclusive licence to use, reproduce, display and share the Model’s photographs and likeness (“Images”) through Modacast, with the right to sublicense to other agencies co-representing the Model and to end clients to whom the Agency presents the Model.
2. Permitted purposes
- The Model’s profile and comp-card within Modacast.
- The public portfolio page, only where the Model has separately consented.
- The discovery feed shown to verified agencies, only where the Model has separately consented.
- Presentation to clients via showrooms and packages for professional booking purposes.
3. Scope, territory and duration
The licence applies for the term of the representation plus a short wind-down period, after which sharing ceases. Images flagged sensitive (e.g. lingerie or implied-nude) require a separate, explicit opt-in and are never included in the public discovery feed.
4. Revocation
The Model may revoke this licence at any time, in-app or in writing. On revocation, the Agency and Modacast remove the Images from public surfaces and stop new sharing. Revocation does not affect lawful uses completed before revocation.
5. Rights and copyright
The Model (or the Agency on the Model’s behalf) confirms it holds or has cleared the necessary rights, including the photographer’s copyright, to grant this licence. Modacast does not acquire ownership of the Images. This release governs image use only and creates no payment obligation through Modacast.
6. Agency responsibility
Agencies warrant, for every model and photo they upload or share, that they hold a valid release and the necessary consents, that the model is 18 or older, and that the relevant image and copyright rights are cleared. Questions: info@modacast.co.
